@tregeagle I love a bit of scaffolding. When I came of age, striped-shirt suspender-wearing yuppies were tearing down lovely old buildings all over #Sydney. Then suddenly the entrepreneurs were all in countries without extradition treaties with #AU, and their holes in the ground surrounded by scaffolding became permanent fixtures.

#Sawtell is drying out now. On my way home from work today, on the verge of the street where yesterday there was a shin-deep lake that ruined my shoes, I spotted a stranded turtle. It's shell was about the diameter of a tin of peaches.

mjd favorited something by tregeagle: I foolishly bought a Nintendo Switch for young H a year ago. We have happily played Zelda since. Most of the other games are shit or irritating. They are all insanely expensive. Today the inbuilt DRM has decided we no longer have the right to play Zelda and have to buy it again. I am struggling to motivate myself to navigate their customer support to fix it. Does anyone want to buy a second hand Nintendo Switch. I fucking hate it. #shouldalistened2FSF

Rarely get anything like insomnia, but last night… Had that thing where you can only drift off for long enough for a dream about getting up and ready for work. Repeat for the entire night, then get up and ready for work. Felt like death.
