Why did this never occur to me as objectionable nomenclature? I'll never look at an IDE cable the same way again. https://boingboing.net/2020/06/29/for-triggers-gates-clocks-a.html Mind you, my chances of seeing an IDE cable at all are rather slim. I'm _fairly_ sure I threw my last one out.

@tregeagle Exactly. His chronic insecurity is (partly) assuaged by keeping everybody around him fearful. His profanity-laced invective (or perhaps invective-laced profanity) on Saturday contained some curiously archaic-sounding expressions. Did he learn them from Daddy, I wonder? #Aloha

#Aloha update: F-bomb Freddy has resurfaced after a couple of days sleeping it off. After a few tentative f***s and c***s from 9am, he's now cranked up the stereo. He's spoiling for a fight. Terrific.

@tregeagle Snap. My shift should have been cancelled. Within an hour the #work had run out and I was reduced to collecting and crushing cardboard. It needed to to be done, and it should be done more often because shopping in my gaff can feel rather like dumpster diving. But it made my regular job seem fascinating by comparison. Also, I got a paper cut. Stupid cardboard! I crush you!
