My 3½ hour shift expanded today, as has been the rule in recent months, this time to 10 hectic hours. Good Friday will be spent on domestic chores, then it's up again for a 6am start on Saturday, finishing Lord-knows-when. Was played like a kazoo at # today. What a dupe! The question was expressed as "Do you want to learn how to do X?". Of course I do; I want to learn everything. That's who I am. The question I was interpreted as assenting to was "Do you want to be responsible for doing X on a regular basis?". I've been out of regular paid employment for too long - what a rookie mistake!
