My daughter gave my wife a cast off iPhone. This has caused me no end of ongoing, feckin' 'domestic tech support' problems (proprietary, lock-in, overpriced accessories, Linux hating and complete lack of interoperability) I could have, quite frankly, done without.
To punish them, I disinherited both of the ladies in my life completely and left the entire contents of my sizeable estate to my son who has a 5 year old Sony Android phone that 'works great, it's fast, and does everything I need'.

Doing some e-training. God help me. The future of #edu comes in two stages: 1. Interminable info-dump slideshow with stock photographs. 2. Multiple choice quiz. Rinse and repeat endlessly. Yes, I'm wondering why we persisted so long with human interaction, teachers, and so on. This is so much more efficient, in the sense of cheaper and nastier.

@tregeagle 1950's #Sawtell beach shack; the original owners were unlikely to even be here in winter. But it's asbestos, so when summer does come, we'll be fireproof.

@andyc I can and do listen to the #Beatles almost daily. Knowing that McCartney has always been a vain, selfish, arrogant arse, and that Lennon most likely spent the last few years of his life not as a devoted father and househusband as he claimed, but as a helpless rail-thin junkie does not detract from the enjoyment of the music one whit.
