@luke It's quite late here, as well. I don't respond appropriately to peer pressure. Only ever tried smoking because in my first paid employment little old ladies went round the office emptying ashtrays and it seemed churlish to do them out of a job.

@zoowar You're right. Though I don't know how you'd test the hypothesis, that intuition of "if I don't get up and go for a little walk before my next drink, this could turn ugly" is probably more reliable than "I'm a grown man; I can handle my booze through sheer testosterone".

#TV News: Annual panic over #schoolies week. I have no problem with teens drinking, provided they don't expect to be able to drink as much, as gracefully, as someone twice their age. First time I drank, months shy of my 18th birthday, I had three drinks and was happy all night.
