Knocked back #work today because I just physically needed the day off and some quiet. So of course F-bomb Freddy's going off again. Only 2pm and already shouting foul-mouthed abuse at people, to an incongruous soundtrack of laid-back 70s adult contemporary folk-rock. Roll on, post #Covid-19 real estate bust; need some cheap, obnoxious-bogan-free lodgings.

Social distancing is apparently over, by grassroots decree. There are so many punters pouring in at #work that I can barely take three steps without being asked for directions. It's positively claustrophobic. One lady apologised for being unfamiliar with the store layout because she ordinarily shops in town, but was driven out to the suburbs by the crush of shoppers there.

Oh, to have been a fly on the wall: "When Shane #MacGowan and the Popes were playing The House Of Blues, I took Shane down to the bar…to see if Little Richard was there. And when we walked in and heard his Wop-bop-a-loo-bop voice above the crowd, we went right over to where that sound was coming from, and I got to introduce the Irish songwriting legend to the inventor of rock n roll. Shane professed just how much Richard’s music and flair influenced him from the beginning of his artistic journey.
