60th Anniversary Specials Blu-ray
The three-disc 60th Anniversary Specials Blu-ray release contains The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle – all of last year’s celebratory episodes, which reunited David Tennant, now playing the newly regenerated Fourteenth Doctor, with Catherine Tate, returning as the ever-mouthy Donna Noble.
Extensive additional features include: behind-the-scenes documentaries for all three episodes; in-vision commentaries for The Star Beast and The Giggle; Yasmin Finney, Ruth Madeley and Neil Patrick Harris introducing their characters, Rose Noble, Shirley Anne Bingham and the Toymaker; scene breakdowns from directors Rachel Talalay, Tom Kingsley and Chanya Button; a tour of the new TARDIS set with David Tennant and production designer Phil Sims; David and Catherine’s Flashbacks; Designing the Fourteenth Doctor… and much more.
