When I was a teen, my grandfather used to buy fruit by the carton when in was in season and cheap, despite living alone, dropping most of it off with friends and relatives. Being from a large family, I presumed buying in such quantity was standard behaviour when dealing in fresh produce. I #remember once following my girlfriend into a fruit shop where she bought _an_ apple. I was shocked. Is that even legal?
