I've noticed that bass players tend to be quite chunky, physically. Lazy pluckers. I've always preferred rhythm guitar, as it gives you a good workout, regardless of how badly you play. Rhythm specialists and drainpipe trousers both went out of fashion in the late 60s. Coincidence?
