ATM I agree with # that although the # is fundamentally undemocratic it's strategically wiser to try to reform it from within. The terms of Maastricht and the Fiscal Compact are appalling, but as # is toeing the neoliberal fully-costed-and-fiscally-responsible line, for the foreseeable future any # government will act as though they apply anyway.
